NEW TECHNOLOGIES
ORION
INTEGRARE coordinates the Orion project, which has also attracted interest in Europe for its potential applications, with the aim of increasing the efficiency of silicon cells used in concentration systems. The planning of a resolving prospect includes the use of plasmonic waves which are induced on the silicon surface to create a state of "down converting" of the energy, from infrared up to lengths convertible by silicon cells into electricity. The management of this project involves the collaboration of partners such as Centro Ricerche Plast-Optica, CNR, University of Cyprus, Met (Lithuanian SME) and POULEK (Slovak EMS).
Partners: INTEGRARE Srl (Italy), CENTRO RICERCHE PLAST OPTICA S.p.A. (Italy), MODERNIOS E-TECHNOLOGIJOS (Lithuania), PV TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING - UNIVERSITY OF CYPRUS (Cyprus), POULEK SOLAR (Czech Republic), CNR-INFM (Italy).
GPSOLAR
Adopted by the Piemonte Region, the GPSolar project aims to the creation of a 'tracking solar systems' equipped with one or more axes with integrated GPS, to increase the production capacity of modules installed on systems, fixed or mobile (such as caravans, cars, motorcycles, trucks, boats, etc.).. The partners involved in this project are Centro Ricerche Fiat and Torino University Centre of Excellence NIS.
Partners: UNIVERSITA' TORINO CENTRO DI ECCELENZA N.I.S., FIAT RESEARCH CENTRE.
ELECTRIC MOBILITY
P-MOB
The P-MOB project is coordinated by the Fiat Research Centre to develop an electric car with an integrated PV system for sustainable mobility. The prototype is aimed at creating a new model which can actually work from 2011 to go from Turin to Madrid.
The prototype will be a two seater, ideal to move in city traffic, with optimal weight and balanced drag coefficient thanks to its small dimensions and aerodynamic studies, which will reduce the daily consumption. Its markedly advanced and environmentally sustainable characteristics are plausible due to the integration of a photovoltaic system on board.

POLLUX
The Pollux project, coordinated by Fiat Research Centre, has also attracted interest in Europe for its potential applications. With the ambition of minimizing the energy consumption of electronic supports, both on board and during the production of the vehicle, Pollux wants to define an entirely heterogeneous multi-domain architecture, to achieve a 'real-time multi-core' HW and SW system. Its purpose is to create a system that can evolve over time, allowing a dialogue between sensors, actuators and control and information system trough a common methodology for the definition of a European and global certification and qualification standard. PSA, Polito, Sintef, STM and NXP are only some of the most important partners involved in the Pollux program together with INTEGRARE.
Partners: STM, PSA, POLITO, SINTEF, NXP and others 30 partners.
SIMEBUS
Coordinated by METCO and funded by Piemonte Region, Simebus is a project that takes life by the cross-sectional study in relation to the following services:
- equipment for traditional public transport systems with photovoltaic systems coupled to integrated systems of batteries and supercapacitors;
- devices applied to the use of solar energy, both on vehicles and on network systems;
- buses traveling within the city and suburban routes.
Simebus main objective is to fully develop and create mechatronic modules that enhance efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of buses in order to drastically reduce energy consumption and pollution.
Partners: MeSAP, POLO DI MECCATRONICA DI TORINO, MECT, INTEGRARE.
SMART GRID
ALADIN
Coordinated by Plast-Optica Research Centre, the Aladin project was approved at the 2015 Industrial Energy Efficiency program. Within the project context, which sees the joint action of CNR, ENEA, CRF, Electrolux and Artemis, INTEGRARE has a central role in the calculation of algorithms developed for the management of integrated subsystems, such as photovoltaic sources, planar battery, planar light sources and radio frequency sensors.
Partners: CRF, CNR, ENEA, ARTEMIDE, ELECTROLUX, INTEGRARE e altri.
IoE - INTERNET OF ENERGY
The project, currently under evaluation by the ARTEMIS-JU, will become operative in the second half of 2011.It aims to the development of systems related to the interoperability between Smart Grid equipments, focusing on the optimization of energy management for homes, private vehicles and electricity networks, as well as everything that can be considered an integral part of Smart Grid.
Partners del progetto: più di 40, tra cui CRF, ENEL, SIEMENS, ST Italy.
SCORE
SCORE is another project about to be financed by Piemonte Region, which is also part of the innovation cluster POLIBRE Tortona. Born from an idea by INTEGRARE which aims to increase IKNOgrid functionality,Score is a system designed for tele-operation of renewable energy installations. It is also designed to simplify the handiness of the functions which are integrated by storage and management of the energy produced and consumed and to optimize the profits generated by the plant. In the interest of the owner and operator of the electricity grid, it will be also possible to predict the energy production. New advanced energy management algorithms are currently under development.
Partners: SOLARLAB, DIMTECH, MODULO UNO, POLITECNICO DI TORINO.
